Würzbitter ist nicht zu verwechseln mit dem Bitter! Normale Bitterspirituosen werden oftmals als Kurze oder als Digestif getrunken. Der andere Bitter, der so genannte Würzbitter, wird nur tropfenweise verwendet, um einem Drink einen süßlich-bitteren Geschmack zu verleihen. Dosiere ihn jedoch sehr vorsichtig – zu viel davon verdirbt den Cocktail.
