The sidecar is one of our favorite non-vodka drinks. It's easy to make from home. Start by filling a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake it like you hate it, and strain into a cocktail glass with a sugar rim. Garnish with an orange zest twist. Enjoy!
Make a salted rim on a highball glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge. The salt rim is quite easy to make. Take a wedge of lime or lemon, and wet the rim of the glass with it. Pour some coarse sea salt on a small plate and simply dip the glass rim in it. Voilà -- you just gave a glass the characteristic, cool Salty Dog look.
Fill a mule mug with ice cubes. Add Absolut Vodka and lime juice. Top up with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge. • For a somewhat more mature and full bodied version of the Moscow Mule, add a few dashes of aromatic bitters to the drink. • Make sure to use plenty of ice in the glass. That will keep your drink colder, crisper and fizzier longer. • If you can’t find Ginger Beer, muddle some fresh ginger in the base of your mule cup and use Ginger Ale instead. That will give you the spicy kick from the fresh ginger.
