Quite possibly the best mistake ever made in the history of drinks? Sbagliato literally means mistake in Italian and the legend says that bartender Mirko Stocchetto “accidentally” reached for a bottle of prosecco instead of gin when making a Negroni at his aperitivo bar called Bar Basso in Milan, late 1980’s.
Just like it’s older brother (The Negroni), the Sbagliato is a beautiful aperitivo style drink that stimulates the appetite with it’s subtle fizz and slight tartness perfectly balanced with the fruitiness of the prosecco.
