Story about Swedish Death Nettle
Nettle Cordial is easy to make at home if you can't find it in the shops! Just bring add equal parts water and sugar to a pot, and bring to a simmer. Once the sugar has been dissolved, turn off the heat, and immediately add a generous helping of fresh nettles. Once cooled, let nettles steep in the syrup for at least 2 hours or preferrably overnight. Strain out the Nettles, and your homemade nettle cordial is done!
Nettle tea is usually a bit easier to find, but can easily be made from home as well. Spread fresh nettle leaves out on a baking sheet or newspaper, and let them dry out completely to make tea that'll keep in the pantry throughout the year. Once it's time to use the tea, just let the dried leaves steep in hot water as you would with any other herbal tea, then let it cool down before adding it to your drink.
