Where the classic Screwdriver is a simple two-ingredient cocktail, the Absolut Haring Screw adds a unique twist with the addition of Ginger Syrup and Sesame Oil. It’s the Screwdriver like you’ve never experienced before!

How to Mix

Fill a Highball Glass with Ice Cubes.

Use a Jigger to measure and pour Sesame Oil into the Glass, followed by Ginger Syrup.

Measure and add Absolut Vodka to the Glass, followed by Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice.

Stir gently with a Bar Spoon.

Garnish with an Orange Wheel.
What is the Absolut Haring Screw?
As the name suggests, the Absolut Haring Screw is a variation of a Screwdriver cocktail that was made by the Absolut Drinks Team in 2025 for the the launch of Absolut Haring – a collaboration between Absolut and iconic artist Keith Haring.
It contains both the essential ingredients of a Screwdriver – vodka and orange juice – but adds a Haring-inspired twist with sesame oil and ginger syrup.

The History of Absolut Haring Screw
The Absolut Haring Screw was created in 2025 by the Absolut Drinks team as one of three signature cocktails to celebrate the release of Absolut Haring – a nearly 40-year collaboration between Absolut and artist Keith Haring (1958-1990).
A simple serve version of the Absolut Haring Fizz, the Absolut Haring Fizz is a twist on the Screwdriver cocktail, which pays homage to Keith Haring’s love for Asian cuisine.
Tips for Making the Perfect Absolut Haring Screw
Make Your Own Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
The secret to amazing drinks lies in using top-notch ingredients, and with a simple cocktail like a Screwdriver, quality matters even more.
Here’s the golden rule: always juice your own fruits. The best way to get more juice out of your fruits is with a Centrifugal Juicer. When you use one of those, your Orange Juice is going to have this incredible airy and almost fluffy texture.
No Juicer? No problems. A Blender works well too but you’ll need to strain the juice before using it.
A Citrus Elbow or Citrus Squeezer work too…but be prepared to do a lot of squeezing or pressing!
Serving and Garnish Ideas for the Absolut Haring Screw
Like a classic Screwdriver, we recommend serving the Absolut Haring Screw in a Highball Glass filled with Ice Cubes. Garnish with an Orange Wheel.

Absolut Haring Screw FAQ
The Absolut Haring Screw is a variation of a Screwdriver drink. It contains the two essential ingredients – vodka and orange juice – but adds Ginger Syrup and Sesame Oil for a Haring-inspired Asian twist.
Follow the recipe for how to make Simple Syrup and once the sugar has dissolved, add ½ part fresh ginger (chopped and strained) and let it stand for 30 minutes before straining it into a screw top bottle or sealable container.
Absolut Haring is produced and bottled in the small village of Åhus in southern Sweden.
