The story behind Drinks

We can say with some modesty that ABSOLUT VODKA, born in 1879, has played an important part in the history of cocktails.

But cocktail history goes even further back. The first printed drink recipes were at least fifty years earlier. While it’s probably impossible to say when the first true cocktail was mixed, one important milestone is the 1862 publication of “Professor” Jerry Thomas’s seminal Bar-Tenders Guide — or How to Mix Drinks.
