Wild Berri Bramble is a new vodka cocktail and a variation of the classic Bramble cocktail. Where a classic Bramble is made with gin, the Wild Berri Bramble is made with Absolut Wild Berri vodka together with lemon juice, blackberry liqueur and simple syrup.
If you love the taste of mixed berries, then you’re going to love this twist on the Bramble. “It’s perfectly balanced and great for the summer,” says Rico. I couldn’t agree more.
How To Make a WILD BERRI BRAMBLE Cocktail
Bar tools you’ll need
Knife
Citrus Press
Boston Shaker
Jigger
Bar Spoon
Peeler
Hawthorne Strainer
How to Mix

Cut a Lemon in half using a Paring Knife.

Squeeze one Lemon half with a Citrus Press to create Lemon Juice.

Measure and pour Lemon Juice into a Boston Shaker.

Measure and pour Simple Syrup into the Shaker, followed by Absolut Wild Berri Vodka.

Fill the Shaker with Ice Cubes and shake vigorously until chilled.

Add Crushed Ice into a Tumbler Glass.

Place a Hawthorne Strainer over the larger tin of your Boston Shaker and pour the mixture into the Glass.

Top up with more Crushed Ice.

Cut a Lemon half-moon using a Paring Knife.

Garnish by placing the Lemon half-moon directly into the Glass.

Measure the Blackberry Liqueur and gently pour it over the Crushed Ice in the Glass, using the back of a Bar Spoon.

Add two Fresh Blackberries as a second garnish.

All about the Wild Berri Bramble
The Wild Berri Bramble is a cocktail created by Bartender and Absolut Global Brand Ambassador, Ricardo “Rico” Dynan. It was created as a vodka twist on a classic Bramble cocktail. It follows the cocktail recipe for a Bramble but substitutes the gin for Absolut Wild Berri vodka.
The Wild Berri Bramble tastes a lot like a mixed berry compote thanks to both the Absolut Wild Berrri and blackberry liqueur. But then there’s the lemon juice and simple syrup, which balances things and gives the drink a citrus twist. It’s delicious and a must-try for all Bramble lovers.
The original Bramble cocktail was created in London in 1984 by legendary London bartender Dick Bradsell.
The Wild Berri Bramble, on the other hand, was created in the summer of 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden by Ricardo “Rico” Dynan (Bartender and Absolut Global Brand Ambassador).
Rico was making a classic Bramble for an episode of Absolut Drinks with Rico and after making this version, he made a Vodka variation using Absolut Wild Berri. And, well, it was a hit!
- Add the Blackberry Liqueur Last
In the video, you’ll notice that when Rico makes a Wild Berri Bramble, he adds the Blackberry Liqueur after pouring the cocktail mixture into the Glass. Whereas for the Bramble, he pours the Blackberry Liqueur into the Glass first before the cocktail mixture. For the Wild Berri Bramble, he uses the back of a Bar Spoon to gently pour the Blackberry Liqueur over the Crushed Ice. This technique allows the Liqueur to slowly trickle down into the drink, creating a beautiful visual effect. - Fresh Lemon Juice only!

For both this Wild Berri Bramble and the classic Gin-based Bramble, Rico recommends using a short glass such as a Tumbler, somewhere between a Highball and a Rocks Glass. Check out this article to learn more about different glass types.
A Tumbler will perfectly accommodate the Ice Cubes or, in this case, the Crushed Ice. It also helps accentuate the cocktail’s stunning purple hues.
To garnish your Wild Berri Bramble cocktail, we recommend two whole Blackberries placed on top of the Crushed Ice, together with a Lemon half-moon.
