All about the Passion For Days cocktail
Passion For Days is an easy-to-make vodka cocktail made with passion fruit-flavored vodka, mango juice, and lime juice, topped with lemon-lime soda. It’s a built drink, which means it’s made directly in the glass without the need for any shaking. It’s served in a wine glass filled with ice cubes and garnished with a lime wheel and a pineapple leaf.
The Passion For Days cocktail tastes like tropical heaven. It’s sweet, fruity and exotic. The mango juice and passion fruit-flavored vodka work extremely well with the lemon-lime soda. You get the sweetness from the mango juice balanced by the bright, tart and zesty lime juice.
The Passion For Days cocktail was created by the Absolut Drinks Team in 2022 for a YouTube episode of Absolut Drinks with Rico.
- Make your own mango juice
When you’ve got a drink this simple, it’s all about the quality your ingredients. We recommend making your own mango juice. The bottled stuff at supermarkets often has preservatives and additives but when you make it at home, you’ve got mango and just mango.See the FAQ at the bottom to see how to make homemade mango juice.
- Squeeze your own lime juice
The same rule applies here – skip the store bought lime juice and squeeze fresh. There’s nothing quite like that zesty bite of real, fresh lime juice, which cuts through the mango and passion fruit.
- Use mango-flavored vodka
Swap Absolut Passionfruit for Absolut Mango and you’ve now got what you could call a Mango For Days drink! Fresh mango juice and mango-flavored vodka? Come on, it’s incredible! Simply follow the drink recipe on this page but swap the passion fruit-flavored vodka for mango. - Lemon soda or lemon-lime soda
In the video, you’ll see that Rico and Hedda use a lemonade soda or lemon soda to top off their drink. However, you can also use lemon-lime soda, which is usually more readily available. Use whichever you prefer.
- As you’ll see in the video, Rico and Hedda use a thick and study wine glass to make the drink. However, if you prefer, you could also use a highball glass or collins glass. Choose a glass tall enough so you can add lots of ice and top up your drink with lemon-lime soda comfortably.
- To garnish your drink, we recommend a lime wheel place directly into the glass, together with a pineapple leaf to really exaggerate those tropical vibes.
- If you’re making your own mango juice, you could also garnish your drink with a mango spear.
If you’ve ever asked your bartender for something fruity, sweet and exotic, you already know what’s great about this drink.

Passion For Days FAQ
Making your own mango juice at home is easy. All you need is a ripe mango, a blender and some water. No need to add sugar – you can always add simple syrup to your drink later if needed.
Here’s how to make mango juice:
-
Select a soft, ripe mango. Use a peeler or a knife to peel off the skin.
-
Cut the mango into chunks, slicing as close to the seed as possible to maximize the amount of flesh.
-
Add the mango chunks into your blender and blend on high, adding 1 cup of water or as much water as needed to achieve your desired juice consistency.
-
Pour the mango mixture from the blender through a fine mesh strainer or sieve to separate the liquid from the pulp.
-
Use a small amount of additional water to help strain the juice, if necessary.
No. One of the beautiful things about this drink is that it’s super simple to make. Everything is made directly in the glass – no need for a cocktail or any fancy bartending tools. All you need is a blender and a citrus press and you’re all set.
If you don’t have a bottle of Absolut Passionfruit, use original Absolut Vodka. We then recommend adding some passion fruit purée to your drink to reintroduce the passion fruit flavor, which is essential to a Passion For Days, hence the name.
Simply add the pulp of a few passion fruits to a blender, along with one teaspoon of water per fruit. Blend the mixture, then strain it through a fine mesh sieve. Start with 10 – 15 ml and then adjust to your preference.
Absolut Vodka was born to mix. You can easily swap Absolut Passionfruit for another Absolut flavored vodka, for example, Absolut Mango or Absolut Watermelon…but it wouldn’t be a Passion For Days cocktail. Howvever, it would still be delicious.
