How to Mix

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.

Use a jigger to measure and pour Absolut Vanilia into the glass.

Use the jigger to measure and add apple liqueur.

Cut a lime in half, then using a citrus press, juice the lime halves. Save a lime wedge to garnish your drink later.

Measure and add lime juice.

Use a bar spoon to give your drink a good stir.

Top up with lemon-lime soda.

All about the P2 Drink
P2 is a highball drink made with vanilla vodka, apple liqueur, lime juice and lemon-lime soda. Served over ice, it is bright, crisp and easy to make. Its sweet vanilla and apple flavors and sparkling finish from the lemon-lime soda give the P2 drink its universal appeal.
The P2 mixes warm and creamy vanilla notes with crisp yet sweet apple liqueur, fresh zesty lime juice, and the bubbly sweetness of lemon-lime soda. It’s a classic summer sipper.
Little is written or documented about the P2 drink’s history, however, it’s said to have originated in Sweden and was a big hit particularly in nightclubs during the 1990s.
- Vanilla Sky
A classic Vanilla Sky follows the same recipe as the P2 but substitutes apple liqueur for pineapple liqueur. Vanilla and pineapple is one of those flavor combo that can’t be beat! - P3
Follow the recipe for a P2 drink but simply swap apple liqueur for raspberry liqueur and you’ve got a P3 drink! It’s another big 90s hit! - P3 with raspberry vodka

- Juice your own lime juice
We say it all the time but if you want your drink to taste like the ones you get at a bar, you really need to make your own juice. To make the perfect P2 drink, we highly recommend grabbing a lime or two and squeezing them to make your own lime juice. It’s zestier, tastier and fresher.The flavor of fresh lime juice will your drink that authentic lime taste that will cut through the sweetness lemon-lime soda and lift those lime flavors. - The balancing act
The key to a great tasting P2 is balance. The apple liqueur and the lemon-lime soda are both sweet, so you’ll want to add just the right amount of lime juice to balance it out, otherwise you’ll end up with a very sweet drink. Add more lime juice as needed.
- Serve the P2 cocktail in a highball glass filled with ice cubes. This type of glass is tall enough to accommodate both the ice and the lemon-lime soda, preventing any spills. Alternatively, a Collins glass is also a good choice.
- For a classic garnish, add a lime wedge or two directly into your glass. The lime wedge enhances the zesty lime juice already in the cocktail.
- If you want to highlight the apple flavors instead, garnish with a slice of crisp Granny Smith apple.
- You can also a fresh spring of mint to give your drink a herbal quality that works fantastically in the summer.

Yes. While the vanilla-flavored vodka gives the P2 drink its character, you can use another Absolut flavored vodka to create your own drink. For example, use Absolut Lime for a lime-forward variation on a P2 or Absolut Citron for a lemony twist.
The P2 is a built drink, which is gently stirred before topping up with lemon-lime soda. A built drink essentially means that everything is built in the glass. No shaking and no need for any fancy bar tools, the P2 is an extremely easy drink to make.
