What is a Frozen Espresso Martini Cocktail?

A Frozen Espresso Martin, also known as a Frappuccino Martini (or a Frappuccini Martini) is a frozen version of an Espresso Martini made with vodka, coffee liqueur, milk and whipped cream.

What Does a Frozen Espresso Martini Taste Like?

A Frozen Espresso Martini tastes like a sweet and creamy coffee milkshake. Unlike the classic Espresso Martini, this frozen version skips the Fresh Brewed Espresso and opts for milk and whipped cream instead. The sweet, rich coffee taste comes courtesy of the coffee liqueur.

Tips for Making the Perfect Frozen Espresso Martini Cocktail

  • Add plenty of Ice Cubes
To achieve that milkshake-like thickness for your Frozen Espresso Martini you’ll need plenty of Ice Cubes. Blend the ingredients, adding more Ice Cubes as needed until you reach the consistency you’re after.

Variations of a Frozen Espresso Martini

  • Orange Mocha Frappuccino Martini
Let’s take the decadence even further! This Frozen Espresso Martini variation uses Absolut Mandrin (Mandarin-Flavored Vodka), together with Kahlúa, Rum and Triple Sec to create the ultimate frozen Frappuccino Martini.
Topped with Whipped Cream and grated Orange Zest, it’s just incredible. But why stop there? Garnish with a piece of Croissant for the ultimate indulgence!
The flavor of Orange and Coffee is a match made in heaven, and this frozen cocktail proves it perfectly. Watch the video above to see how to make it!
  • Frozen Vanilla Espresso Martini
“Vanilla, Coffee. What more is there to say? This drink is insanely good,” says Ricardo ‘Rico’ Dynan, Bartender and Absolut Global Brand Ambassador. Yes, it’s as smooth and decadent as you imagine.
Simply follow the same recipe on this page but substitute Absolut Vodka for a Vanilla Flavored Vodka (we, of course, recommend using Absolut Vanilia). Sipping this is like drinking a Vanilla Milkshake. Mmm, mmm!

Serving and Garnish Ideas for a Frozen Espresso Martini

Glassware: We recommend serving your Frozen Espresso Martini in a Milkshake Glass with a Drinking Straw, though a Highball Glass works just as well—as long as it’s tall enough to accommodate the Whipped Cream.

Garnish: We recommend adding Chocolate Sauce and Whipped Cream. Before you pour your cocktail into your Milkshake Glass, hold the Glass in your hand at a 45-degree angle and spin it while drizzling the Chocolate Syrup on the inside of the Glass to get that barber pole swirl look. Next, pour in your cocktail, leaving space at top of the glass to add the Whipped Cream.
