The iconic cocktail glass
What is usually called a “Martini glass” is merely a subcategory of the cocktail glass. The V-shaped glass made its debut at the Art Deco Exhibition in Paris in 1925. The most iconic glass of all, you can use it for an ABSOLUT Cosmopolitan and Vodka Martini. Whatever the shape of a cocktail glass, the long “leg” keeps the drink cold by keeping it away from warming hands. The wide bowl places the surface of the drink directly under the drinker’s nose, ensuring that the aromatic element has the desired effect.
A standard cocktail glass contains around 4.5 US fluid ounces (13.3 cl). Oversized cocktail glasses, ranging in capacity from 6 fl oz to large glasses of 12 fl oz or more, have become popular in recent years.
