INTENSIFY THE AROMA OF COCKTAILS WITH A BUBBLE GUN

WRITTEN BY SCOTT VAN DORT

There are countless creative ways to make cocktails that grab attention. But none quite like a bubble gun – the ultimate showstopper for cocktail presentation that enhances aroma and creates a mesmerizing visual effect that will wow anyone!

Bubble Gun for Drinks

If you want to add a new element to your cocktail presentation, enhance the aroma of your drink and absolutely wow guests at your next dinner party, then it’s time to get a cocktail bubble gun.

Put your finger on the trigger of a bubble gun and watch as it gracefully crowns your drink with a bubble of aromatic vapor. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, when the bubble bursts, it unleashes a cascade of aroma and vapor, engaging sight, smell, and taste in one go! BOOM!

How to Use a Bubble Gun for Cocktails

Creating an Aromatic Masterpiece

Load up your bubble gun with your choice of aromatic vapor. With scents like citrus, coffee, cinnamon, bubblegum, vanilla, nutmeg, mixed berry, and rosemary, you’re spoiled for choice.

Once you’ve picked your cocktail and the aroma you wish to accentuate, pull the trigger on the bubble gun, and watch as a bubble gracefully lands on top of your cocktail, adding a whole new dimension to your drink.

A Burst of Aromatic Bliss

Once the bubble is sitting atop your cocktail, it’s time to burst your bubble.

Grab a toothpick, or even better, a skewered lemon twist, and POP! As the bubble bursts, watch the aromatic vapor cascade down like a waterfall, surrounding your cocktail in an aromatic cloud.

This head-turning, nose-pleasing moment takes your drink from ordinary to extraordinary!

The Power of Aroma in Cocktails

In cocktail making, taste and appearance often steal the spotlight, but trust us, aroma isn’t anything to turn your nose up at – it’s an absolutely vital part of the drinking experience. Really, it’s believed that 80% of what we perceive as flavor comes from smell! Need proof? Think about the Mojito.

If you’re a fan of the Mojito, you already know that this cocktail is all about the mint. As Ricardo ‘Rico’ Dynan, Bartender and Absolut Global Brand Ambassador, explains, “Mint isn’t really a flavor, it’s more of an aroma.”

When making a Mojito, contrary to what you may have heard, you don’t want to muddle the leaves. “Get a good bunch of mint and give it a little slap. Slapping is going to start releasing the oils and the aroma,” explains Rico.

“One of the most important parts of a Mojito is the mint garnish. Get a straw and place it directly next to the mint garnish. This way, while you drink, you’re going to be able to smell the mint and you’re going to get more of a mint hit.”

Just imagine the Mojito without the aroma of mint – impossible! Now, there’s another method that takes the aroma of your drinks to a whole sensory experience.

Blow Bubbles and Minds with a Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan already steals the spotlight with its striking pink hue, but what if could make it even more captivating? Use a bubble gun to create a Cosmopolitan cocktail like never before!

Since a classic Cosmo is traditionally garnished with orange zest, load your citrus gun with a citrus vapor. Release a bubble onto your cocktail, then skewer a piece of orange zest and use it to burst the bubble, before adding the zest to your drink.

Your guests will be blown away as they’re enveloped in a wave of fresh citrus, perfectly enhancing the cranberry juice and lemon notes from Absolut Citron.

Add a Playful Pop to an Elegant Manhattan

The Manhattan cocktail is the epitome of sophistication and elegance, but with an aroma bubble gun you can add a playful charm.

A Manhattan is traditionally garnished with a skewered maraschino cherry. So, now use the garnish to pop the balloon and watch the alluring aroma swirl around, adding a whimsical twist to this timeless elegance.
