LESSON 2: MUDDLE FRESH FRUIT
This lesson will teach you how to make drinks with fresh fruit and berries. In recent years muddled drinks like the Mojito has become very popular. The basics for this type of drink is quite simple.
By using a muddler to squeeze the fruit you get fresh, nice juice to give the drink taste and a fresh look.
Some fruit are, as we all now, sour. Grapefruit, lemon and lime, to name a few of them. To balance the sourness of these and other fruit use sugar in the form of grains or syrup. In the previous lesson we used ice cubes. In this lesson we will crush the ice, which is great fun, actually. By utilizing an ice crusher, cubes are shattered into small pieces. If you don't have a crusher at home, simply put the ice cubes in a clean towel, close the towel around the cubes and smash them with a hammer.
